Please Take Notice That, On June 19, 2020, The Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse, New York, (“Diocese”) filed for protection under chapter 11 of title 11 of the United States Code (the “Bankruptcy Code”).
The Court has established January 17, 2023 at 11:59pm (prevailing Eastern time) (the “Supplemental Bar Date”) as the deadline to assert claims against the Diocese arising from or relating to abuse that occurred when the survivor was 18 years of age or older, and which, prior to the enactment of the Adult Survivors Act (S.66A/A.648A) would have been subject to a statute of limitation defense (“Adult Claims”).
If you have an Adult Claim against the Diocese, you must file a claim on or before the Supplement Bar Date, which will be treated confidentially in accordance with prior court orders in this Case.
